ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 11, 2025) Operations Specialist 3rd Class Teisjah Carney from Atlanta, Georgia (left), gets frocked by Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Cassidy Henderson, from Richardson, Virginia, on board USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28). The Fort Lauderdale is underway conducting advanced tactical training, which includes rigorous multi-domain exercises designed to enhance warfighting effectiveness and interoperability. Fort Lauderdale is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Readiness Group, a force uniquely positioned to deter aggression, project power through presence abroad, and execute contingency missions with its integrated Marine Corps team in support of U.S. strategic interests. The IWO ARG is comprised of its flagship namesake Iwo Jima, the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17), and San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28).
