Second Lt. Heather Wagner (top) takes down Staff Sgt. Rebecca Osborn during routine military police training on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., March 15. Both soldiers are with the Military Police Platoon, Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. "The first station we had them go to (after being pepper sprayed) was the normal takedown. All of the suspects we had at each station were compliant, but they were supposed to do a takedown with their batons that they had, give all the verbal commands like they're supposed to, telling the suspect exactly what they want them to do, otherwise they would have had to stop and start over and do it again. After they were cleared by the safety person at the station to go the next one, they put their baton into the sidearm carry and they ran to the next station," stated Staff Sgt. Stewlow, the noncommissioned officer in charge of administering the Oleoresin Capsicum. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Chris McCullough)
