After coming in from a mission, Spc. Derek Gonzalez, a Fort Wayne, Ind., native, follows along in his Bible during a Christian church service at Joint Security Station Washash in Baghdad May 15. The battalion chaplain for the 1st Battalion, 64th Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, which is currently attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Multi-National Division ? Baghdad, comes out to the JSS once every other week to conduct worship services for Soldiers living there. Gonzalez serves as a gunner with Company D, 1-64 AR.
