An Air Commando from the 353rd Special Operations Wing conducts alternate insertion and extraction training with the Royal Thai Air Force in Lop Buri, Thailand, Feb. 25, 2025, during Exercise Cobra Gold. The 353rd SOW is the focal point for special operations aviation activities throughout the Pacific. U.S. Special Operations Command Pacific serves as the operational component command for all SOF missions throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Cobra Gold 25 – the 44th iteration of this exercise – exemplifies a longstanding alliance with Thailand and reflects a shared commitment to preserving a peaceful, prosperous, and secure Indo-Pacific region.
