VICENZA, Italy — U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Anthony R. Hale, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, visited soldiers of the 173rd Airborne Brigade on January 13, 2025, to discuss the latest military innovations and their application on the front lines. Hale emphasized the importance of integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational capabilities and maintain readiness.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade serves as the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to U.S. European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed in Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains with NATO allies and partners to build relationships and strengthen the alliance.
