Senior Airman Leah Farias, a C-17 loadmaster with the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, marshals a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle into the cargo bay of a Globemaster III aircraft at an air base in the Persian Gulf region Feb. 8, 2008. The MRAP vehicles are a family of armored fighting vehicles designed to survive various types of improvised explosive device attacks and ambushes. These MRAP vehicles are being delivered to the Marine Corps regiments and battalions throughout the area of responsibility in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
