As part of the Polish Apache Initiative, this meeting expanded senior leadership’s understanding of the modern aviation systems in use by the 1st Cavalry Division and provided first-hand experience to gain understanding of the helicopter's operational capabilities, enhance decision-making related to aviation support, and connect with the challenges and perspectives of the aircrew. The Polish Apache Initiative, implemented by V Corps in collaboration with the Polish Army, seeks to meet interoperability and training objectives by educating organizational leaders on AH-64 organizations, combat tactics and maintenance considerations.
