U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, Kristie Kenney, addresses Royal Thai, U.S. and Singapore armed forces, as well as members of the local community Feb.21 at the Ban Hau Wang Krang Elementary School, Makham Sung District, Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand, at a dedication ceremony marking the completion of an engineering civic assistance project that took place during exercise Cobra Gold 2013. As the largest multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region, Cobra Gold has demonstrated the commitment of partner nations to enhancing interoperability of military forces, strengthening of regional relationships, and the promotion of security and cooperation within the region.
