The Holland Chapter 82nd Airborne Division C47 Club flag flies at the "Rum Runner" remembrance ceremony during the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden at Goch, Germany, Sep. 18, 2024. The C-47 Club of the 82nd Airborne Division Association was founded on the initiative of veterans of the 82nd Airborne Division and is committed to keeping the history of the 82nd Airborne Division alive. The ceremony was to unveil a new plaque memorializing the crewmembers of the B-24H Liberator “Rum Runner” who were killed in action when their plane was shot down by German anti-aircraft fire over Goch while delivering supplies to the 82nd Airborne Division in Sept. 1944.
