U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Alex Mitchell performs a daily inspection on a U.S. Marine Corps FA-18D Hornet Feb. 11 at Wing One Royal Thai Air Force Base, Nakhon Ratchasima, Kingdom of Thailand, during Cobra Gold 2013. At the end of each day, mechanics thoroughly inspect each aircraft to ensure it is in proper working condition and ready to fly the following day. CG 13, in its 32nd iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective response to regional crises by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region. Mitchell is an FA-18D mechanic with Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
