    Capt. Miguel Velez, a dentist in the Medical Readiness Detachment, New Hampshire Army National Guard, runs to the finish line to complete his ruck march during the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge qualification on Sept. 8, 2024, at the Northern Rail Trail in Franklin, N.H.

    The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge is awarded to soldiers who complete a series of physical and military skill tests.
