From the August 21, 1953 edition of Service to the Fleet, Change of Command ceremony welcoming Rear Adm. McKee to Norfolk Naval Shipyard in front of Building 33. Guests took shelter under the awning while the band sat in the near what is now a public quarters building. The structure to the left no longer stands and is now a green space with a flagpole.
