U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 51st Medical Group conduct decontamination procedures during a simulated mass casualty scenario that was part of Ulchi Freedom Shield 24 at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 21, 2024. Training regularly for mass casualty events provides opportunities to evaluate the functionality of medical equipment, vehicles and communication systems, ensuring everything is in optimal condition to execute the mission. UFS24 is an annual combined exercise conducted in support of the U.S.-ROK Mutual Defense Treaty that highlights the U.S. commitment to the alliance.
