U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 51st Medical Group practice decontaminating a simulated patient during Ulchi Freedom Shield 24 at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 21, 2024. Simulated patients came to the 51st MDG with varying degrees of injuries, providing an opportunity for medical personnel to assess their capability to effectively treat patients and hone their skills in contingency operations. UFS24 is an annual exercise that incorporated large-scale, live-fire training events for the first time in recent history in order to strengthen interoperability and increase combat readiness of U.S. and allied forces on the Korean peninsula.
