Partnership 2024-2 and Pacific Angel 2024-3 at Pham Van Dong Square in Quang Ngai, Vietnam, Aug. 20, 2024. Pacific Angel is officially in its 16th year (inception in 2008). It began with a 10-day mission in Kiribati, Nauru, and Vanuatu in July 2007, unofficially named Operation Pacific Angel, which was sponsored by USINDOPACOM and led by the Pacific Air Forces. Thanks to the success of that mission, the commander of the then U.S. Pacific Command directed the implementation of a recurring humanitarian response engagement to promote continued U.S. commitment to our Pacific neighboring nations in the region.
