The “Spirit of Adventure” team, consisting of Anthony Byers and his daughter, Ava, paddle their way back from the halfway point aboard their houseboat – inspired by the animated film, “Up” – during the 2024 Fort Leonard Wood Cardboard Boat Race, which took place Aug. 10 at Training Area 250. The team took home the Admiral’s Pride Award in the family division, presented to the team with the best creativity and design.
