The “31st Engineer Battalion Spartans” team, consisting of Michael Kaiser (center, with mask) and Ian McBride, fight to stay afloat during the 2024 Fort Leonard Wood Cardboard Boat Race, which took place Aug. 10 at Training Area 250. For their efforts, Kaiser and McBride took home the Titanic Award in the adult division, presented to the team with the most-epic sinking.
