Tad Jerman, civilian airport ground crew, guides a 165th Airlift Wing C-130 Hercules into its parking place on the taxiway at Hilton Head Island Municipal Airport on April 23. The C-130 is the largest airplane to land at the airport which is now certified for military aircraft of that size as a result of the landing. The aircraft landed at the Hilton Head airport as part of an exercise Vigilant Guard scenario in which simulated earthquake victims were evacuated from the island by the C-130 and airlifted to Beaufort.
