Operation Hard Kill, held August 8, 2024, on Fort Drum, New York, showcases the 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum’s continuous efforts to improve the unit’s response to unmanned aircraft systems through collaboration with the U.S. Army Development Command Armaments Center. Operation Hard Kill provides a demonstration of 10th Mountain Division’s ability to coordinate and execute the use of counter-UAS equipment through live-fire exercises, highlighting the Alpine spirit of maintaining ready and responsive forces because of the one-of-a-kind, top-tier training and facilities at Fort Drum.
