Soldiers of King Battery, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment fire an artillery round from an M109A6 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzer earlier this year from Forward Operating Base Warhorse in Diyala province, Iraq. King Battery which is on its fifth month of a 15-month deployment has fired more than 4,800 rounds, only 400 rounds less than the most rounds ever fired during from an artillery battery in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
