U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Adam C. Raynor, Joint Force Headquarters, South Carolina Army National Guard, retires after 21 years of service at the Adjutant General Complex, Columbia, South Carolina, June 26, 2024. Raynor first enlisted into the South Carolina Army National Guard in November 2003 as a military police officer (31B). He served in various leadership positions and deployed three times in support of overseas missions in Iraq, Croatia, and Afghanistan. Following his most recent deployment, Raynor transferred to the 218th Regional Training Institute (RTI) as the Senior Instructor for the Military Police Course. In October, 2019, Raynor was promoted to Master Sgt. and was assigned to the Provost Marshal’s Cell with the 218th Maneuver Enrichment Brigade (MEB) in Charleston, South Carolina before getting assigned to the Public Affairs office at Joint Force Headquarters in Columbia, South Carolina. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Van McCarty, Adjutant General for South Carolina, joined Raynor’s family, friends, and colleagues in celebrating his distinguished career.
