PHILIPPINE SEA (June 15, 2024) U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Christopher Alexander, commander of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) Nine, jumps into the ocean from an MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to the “Eightballers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, during a search and rescue training exercise, June 15, 2024. Theodore Roosevelt, flagship of CSG-9, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
