240614-N-LY640-1448 BALTIC SEA (June 14, 1024) A U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk Helicopter (front) from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 and a German navy NH90 helicopter practice maneuvers for a photo exercise with the German training ship Gorch Fock during BALTOPS 24. BALTOPS24 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
