Personnel assigned to Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo’s (CFAS) Yokose Fuel Terminal and Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) conduct refueling operations at CFAS Yokose Fuel Terminal , June 13, 2024. This was the first time that an amphibious assault ship had fueled at the Yokose Fuel Terminal since the construction of a new fuel pier there in 2022. For more than 75 years, CFAS has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services to empower forward-deployed U.S. and Allied Forces while providing superior support to their families and the community.
