Michael McInerney, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Russell (DDG 59), oversees the ship transiting into the Republic of Singapore, May 16, 2024. Russell is in the Republic of Singapore for a scheduled port visit, supporting operational readiness and regional partnerships. Russell is assigned to Carrier Strike Group 9 and currently conducting routine operations in U.S. 7th Fleet in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
