U.S. Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 214, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and Royal Australian Air Force Aircraftman Michael Norkett, an armament fitter grade 1, with RAAF No.75 Squadron, learn how to cross check serial numbers of inert bomb tailfins at RAAF Base Tindal, Northern Territory, Australia on May 15, 2024. VMFA-214 deployed more than 200 Marines and eight F-35B Lightning II aircraft from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, to RAAF Base Tindal, Australia, to conduct bilateral training with RAAF No. 3 Squadron and No. 75 Squadron. Marines and RAAF Airmen work side-by-side to construct and maintain essential equipment and ordnance as part of unit-level and bilateral training events designed to enhance U.S.-Australian relationships and further develop and sustain capabilities in the Indo-Pacific Region.
