U.S. Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 214, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and Royal Australian Air Force Airmen with No.75 Squadron, practice the step-by-step process of constructing the outer shell of an inert bomb at RAAF Base Tindal, Northern Territory, Australia on May 15, 2024. VMFA-214 deployed more than 200 Marines and eight F-35B Lightning II aircraft from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, to RAAF Base Tindal, Australia, to conduct bilateral training with RAAF No. 3 Squadron and No. 75 Squadron. Marines and RAAF Airmen work side-by-side to construct and maintain essential equipment and ordnance as part of unit-level and bilateral training events designed to enhance U.S.-Australian relationships and further develop and sustain capabilities in the Indo-Pacific Region.
