Sky "Dog" Johnson, a service dog, is treated and transported alongside her handler during a Large Scale Combat Operation (LSCO) training exercise conducted by the 256th Medical Company Area Support (256th MCAS) at Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) and Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, Fla., May 16-19, 2024. The exercise, organized with significant input from Sgt. 1st Class B. Adam Johnson, Readiness NCO for the unit, included real-world scenarios to enhance realism. Despite a heavy downpour and communication difficulties, the team successfully administered care to both the Soldier and the dog, demonstrating their adaptability and expertise under pressure.
