KITTERY, Maine (May 16, 2024) – The first of many 4,000-ton concrete monoliths arrived at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) in Kittery, Maine on May 16. The monolith arrived on a special barge from Cianbro Corporation Modular Manufacturing Facility in Brewer, Maine and are part of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program’s multi-mission Dry Dock #1 project, which is modernizing the World War II-era dry dock on PNSY.
