Lt. Gen. Patrick Matlock, deputy chief of staff for G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, (center) paid a visit to U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz in Baumholder, Germany, May 9, to gain insights into future stationing actions and to observe the progress made on the movement of Special Operations Forces to Baumholder. The visit started with a comprehensive briefing held at the Baumholder garrison headquarters on Smith Barracks, facilitated by Col. Reid Furman, commander of USAG Rheinland-Pfalz, (right) along with Maj. Gen. Ronald Ragin, commander of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, (left) and other key leaders within the garrison.
