U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 435th Contingency Response Element set up camp at Kecskemet Air Base, Hungary, May 5, 2024. This small group of Airmen were part of an advanced echelon team sent to establish a camp, and survey a landing zone prior to the CRE’s arrival as part of Swift Response 24. SR24 is a series of multinational interoperability exercises under DEFENDER 24 led by U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa to advance Agile Combat Employment capabilities in the European theater.
