Japanese and U.S. officials cut the ribbon at a commemorative ceremony held prior to the opening of the park to the public.
日米の関係者らによって行われた緑地ひろばの一般開放を前に開かれた記念式典でのテープカット。
The Ministry of Defense holds a ceremony to commemorate the opening of a green space in the Lower Plaza area of Plaza Housing, which straddles Okinawa City and Kitanakagusuku Village, Okinawa, March 30, 2024.
This area, scheduled to be returned to Japan, will be used jointly as a public park. The Okinawa Defense Bureau representatives say they hope many visitors will use the space for recreation and friendship.
防衛省は2024年3月30日、沖縄市と北中城村にまたがるロウワー・プラザ地区内の緑地ひろば開設記念式典を開催した。
この地域は、 日本に返還される予定のフォスター基地旧ロウワープラザ住宅地区の一部で、公共の公園として共同で利用される。沖縄防衛局の担当者は、レクリエーションや親睦の場として多くの人々に利用してほしいと話している。
