The T-1 is destined for storage at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. Maj. Ausborn was deployed from JBSA-Randolph and killed April 27, 2011, in Kabul, Afghanistan, when a shooter opened fire at the Kabul International Airport, killing eight Airmen and one American contractor.
