The 2d Theater Signal Brigade Spotlight shines on U.S. Army Sgt. Luis Lira, a SNN Team Chief, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced.
As a Small Scalable Node Team Chief, he configures switching and routing equipment in conjunction with transport services, which provides customers with secure and non-secure uninterrupted voice and data services.
A new arrival to the unit, and a stranger to the SNN, Sgt. Lira mastered managing his team’s technical capabilities by training up and executing crew validations at an astounding 22 minutes. Additionally, he has readied his team for their upcoming mission support for Immediate Response 2024.
Moreover, Sgt. Lira is the Army Emergency Relief representative for Alpha Company. He facilitates Alpha Company’s ongoing fundraising effort, collecting over $200 in contributions since the start of the campaign.
Sgt. Lira’s dedication to learning, training, the care for his team, and community drives what all NCOs in his unit should strive to be. His excellence is seen in his technical knowledge, deployment readiness, and multi-faceted mindset which drives a culture of quality care and expeditionary in the 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced.
