    Commander, Carrier Strike Group 9

AT SEA (April 11, 2024) The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), left, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Murasame-class destroyer JS Ariake (DD-109) sail alongside the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118) during a trilateral exercise, April 11, 2024. This trilateral exercise allowed maritime forces from Japan, the Republic of Korea, and U.S. to train together to enhance coordination on maritime domain awareness and other shared security interests. Daniel Inouye is part of the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
