U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Stacey T. Hawkins, Air Force Sustainment Center commander, gives British navy Vice Adm. Richard Thompson, Defence Equipment and Support director general air, a brief overview of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex’s history dating to World War II and its impact on the outcome of the war. Earlier in the March 22 meeting, the two signed a non-binding statement between AFSC and the U.K. Ministry of Defence affirming common objectives to enhance strategic and tactical sustainability of jointly used aircraft components to improve readiness for the warfighter and reduce cost.
The intent of this cooperation is for AFSC and the MOD to improve in-theater component repair capability and to recognize the value of coordination on Test Program Sets using collaboration and common testing methodologies on Automatic Test Equipment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Grady Epperly)
