U.S. Army 1st Lt. Dylan Bollinger, a Paratrooper assigned to 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, prepares to launch an RQ-28A quadcopter reconnaissance drone to provide the location and capabilities of the opposing forces while defending a position key to the Division’s defense of the fictional town of Deboiser on Fort Johnson, Louisiana, March 12, 2024. The realistic training environment at the Joint Readiness Training Center provides the 82nd Abn. Div. a chance to bring together the combined training of all units to jump in, seize objectives, set up communications and supply lines, defend and expand their positions, practice medical care and evacuation, and work with civilians acting as residents.
