SINGAPORE (March 17, 2024) – Chief Electronics Technician Rex Sapasap (right), from Edgewood, Maryland, escorts Changi Harbor’s pilot aboard the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Mobile (LCS 26) during a Sea and Anchor detail in Singapore, March 17. Harbor pilots come aboard vessels to provide local expertise to the crew and help them safely navigate to and from a harbor. Mobile, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with Allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
