U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Wyatt Emmett, a combat engineer with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, removes his M40 Gas Mask while conducting a gas chamber qualification course in preparation for Warrior Shield 24 at U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan-Casey, Republic of Korea Feb. 27, 2024. During the course, the service members performed various tasks while exposed to CS gas to build confidence in using M40 Gas Masks. Warrior Shield 24 is an annual joint, combined, exercise in the Republic of Korea that strengthens the combined defensive capabilities of ROK-U.S. Forces. This routine, regularly scheduled, field training exercise provides the ROK-U.S. Marines the opportunity to rehearse combined operations, exchange knowledge, and demonstrate the strength and capability of the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
