U.S. Marine Corps Col. Brendan Burks, commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, points out an area on the installation under development to public officials during a tour of the Air Traffic Control Tower, Feb. 13, 2024. The Pamlico and Craven County officials learned more about their neighboring Marine Corps Installation and its current and future operations. The group met with Marine Corps Community Service representatives to gain insight into its role on the installation and the services it provides service members and families. The group also visited Fleet Readiness Center East to learn more about the F-35 aircraft maintenance program and its development projects.
