U.S. Marine Corps Col. Brendan Burks, commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, welcomes commissioners and other public officials representing Pamlico and Craven Counties to the installation's headquarters building during a tour, Feb. 13, 2024. The Pamlico and Craven County officials learned more about their neighboring Marine Corps Installation and its current and future operations. The group met with Marine Corps Community Service representatives to gain insight into its role on the installation and the services it provides service members and families. The group also visited Fleet Readiness Center East to learn more about the F-35 aircraft maintenance program and its development projects.
