The Honorable Christopher Maier, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict, meets with 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) leadership on Camp “Bull” Simons, Florida, Feb. 28, 2024. During his visit, Maier had the opportunity to learn about 7th SFG(A)’s current and future operations as well as the programs they use to keep ODA’s in the fight. In his role, Maier oversees special operations, irregular warfare, counterterrorism, and information operations policy issues, among other responsibilities.
