Service members from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and USS Tarawa provided medical and dental care for villagers of Goubetto, Djibouti, during a Medical Civil Action Project. Everyone seen at the MEDCAP was given de-worming medication to get rid of any possible parasites. The two-day MEDCAP treated more then 560 patients. The MEDCAP is scheduled for a total of six days, servicing a total of three villages. The military team spends two days in each village before moving onto the next one.
