U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Javare Simmons, a motor transportation operator, and an Arkansas native, with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, assists in laying down cement during Exercise Cobra Gold 2024 (CG24) at the Ban Nong Yai School, Chachoengsao Province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 15, 2024. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Royal Thai Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps worked together to construct a new multipurpose building for the school. Cobra Gold is a multilateral humanitarian exercise that plays a crucial role in strengthening ties with the Indo-Asia-Pacific region and increasing interoperability of partnered nations.
