MAJURO, Republic of Marshall Islands (February 01, 2024) Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, smooth a concrete foundation which will support a concrete pillar. The project is part of Pacific Partnership 2024, an annual mission exercise by the United States Indo-Pacific Command and executed by U.S Pacific Fleet in coordination with partner nations. NMCB 4 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region to support and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific. As the stand-in, crisis response, naval engineering force, NMCB 4 maintains a ready posture to deliver in-theater expeditionary logistics via expeditionary shore infrastructure, forward damage repair, and mobile construction.
