PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 07, 2024) Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious landing dock ship (LPD 20) don flight gear prior to boarding a CH-53 Sea Stallion Helicopter from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Air Combat Element (ACE) during a visit, board, search, and seizure exercise. Green Bay, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st MEU, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
