Dr. Kyle McCormick, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) scientific recovery expert (SRE), briefs Robert Godec, U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, about site operations during a visit to a DPAA recovery mission site in the Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 15, 2024. Recovery teams use standard methods in the excavation as directed by the SRE, with techniques such as the grid system being the first step on site.
