Jacksonville, Fl, - (February 2, 2024) Lt. Andrea Telenga, a nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), reviews information with her patient. Telenga holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University. A native of Carmel, Indiana, she says, “As a PACU nurse, we are a calming source for our patients prior to a procedure and make sure they have a safe recovery from anesthesia.” Perianesthesia nurses are specialists in pre-operative assessments, post-anesthesia recovery, ambulatory surgical care, and pain management.
