Thai and U.S service members play soccer Jan. 24 at Ban Kuad Nam Man School in the Chat Trakarn District, Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand. Evening soccer matches build cohesion and have become routine at the school where a new building is being constructed. Similar structures are being built at four other schools as part of ongoing engineering civic assistance projects part of Exercise Cobra Gold 2013. U.S. involvement in Cobra Gold 13 demonstrates commitment to building military-to-military interoperability with participating nations and to supporting peace and stability in the region. The soldiers are with the 302nd Engineer Battalion, Royal Thai Army. The U.S. Marines are with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
