NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Nov. 24, 2023) – Polish Capt. Radosław Kukuła, a sailor attached to 30th Air Squadron of the Polish Navy, sits in the flight deck of a M28 Bryza 1R at Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella, Italy, Nov. 24. 2023. Kukuła was speaking to Cmdr. Kevin Harrington (not pictured), Commanding Officer of Patrol Squadron (VP) 46, the ‘Grey Knights,’ about the rewards and challenges of flying the aircraft. VP-46 came to visit 30th Kaszubski Air Squadron of the Polish Navy, currently deployed to NAS Sigonella, to discuss system capabilities, mission and partnership. VP-46 is currently deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operation in support of naval operations to maintain maritime security and stability, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
